Area51 face Dynamic in ESWC NA final

Area51 has joined Dynamic in the grand finals of ESWC North America by defeating Hold Mouse One 2-0 (16-12 de_dust2_se, 16-12 de_nuke_ve). Last night Dynamic beat Murder Inc 2-0 (16-5 de_inferno_se, 16-3 de_train_se).

Dynamic was dominant in the first semi-final as they went from losing their opening pistol round as counter-terrorists on de_inferno_se to winning sixteen out of the following eighteen rounds.

Second map de_train_se was little different as the most successful North American Counter-Strike: Source team continued strong play, only surrendering three rounds in the process of winning the map 16-3. Today saw Area51 start off similarly to Dynamic last night by losing the first three rounds before going up 15-9 on de_dust2_se. HMO attempted a comeback, but Area51 held them off for a 16-12 win.

Next up was Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo's modified de_nuke_ve, where Area51 once again scored nine rounds in the opening half. They enlarged the lead to 14-6 before HMO started coming back, but a four-on-five round win after Sean "sgares" Gares crashed gave A51 game point.

It would only take one more round to finish the game, as after a few minutes of waiting Gares was left in a one-on-one situation where he managed to plant the bomb and kill the remaining CT to secure his team a 16-12 win and a grand finals spot. ESWC North American qualifier grand final is set to start at 22:45 with Area51 taking on Dynamic for an all paid trip to ESWC grand final in the beginning of November in Paris. The match will be streamed live here.
